Sewer Scope Inspections
A sewer scope inspection is one of the most commonly skipped steps when buying a home or commercial property in the Coachella Valley — and one of the most expensive to skip. INSPX uses a professional RIDGID SeeSnake sewer camera to show you the true condition of the sewer line before you close.

What It Is
A sewer scope inspection is a camera inspection of the private sewer line — the underground pipe (called the lateral) that carries all wastewater from a home or business out to the city main. Because this line is buried, a standard inspection can’t see it. The only way to know its condition is to look inside.
INSPX performs sewer line inspections for single-family homes, condos, and commercial properties across the Coachella Valley, including Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, and Indio. It pairs well with a full home or commercial inspection, so you get the complete picture of the property in one visit.
Paul feeds a RIDGID SeeSnake sewer camera into the line through an access point called a cleanout, then guides it through the pipe toward the city main line. The camera sends live video to a monitor, so every joint, bend, and section of pipe is checked in real time. No digging, and no damage to the property.
Along the way, we look for blockages, cracks, leaks, sags (low spots where water and waste collect), offset joints, root intrusion, and signs of pipe deterioration. Anything we find is documented with images and explained in plain language in your report, so you know exactly what you’re dealing with.

In the Coachella Valley, the problems we find most often are tree roots growing into the pipe, offset or separated joints, sags in the line, and older pipe that has cracked or eroded over time. Many of these issues show no warning signs until a backup happens.
Most buyers don’t realize the sewer line from the building to the city main is the property owner’s responsibility — not the city’s. Repairs can run into the tens of thousands of dollars. A sewer scope before you close gives you the facts to negotiate repairs, ask for a credit, or walk away. For homeowners, landlords, and business owners, it’s an easy way to catch small problems before they become expensive ones.
